What is it Cystic Fibrosis?
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is inherited gained incurable disease, which affects function of sudoriferous glands and implicates higher concentration of salts in lather. Diseased people have up to 5 times saltier lather and because of that they are called Salty Children.
In Czech Republic occurs CF on one of 2500 – 3000 born children. Nowadays there are diagnosed about five hundred of ill people. But about same count isn’t healed at all or under wrong diagnosis. CF affects mainly respiration and digestive system; characteristic is creation of abnormally dense mucus. Diseased couldn’t hawk mucus and so is a multiplied bacterium which affects permanent pneumonia. Dense mucus blocks pancreas and prevents her from creating enzymes which are necessary for digestion. Cystic Fibrosis is also followed by other diseases – diabetes, hepatic cirrhosis, osteoporosis, infertility by men and so on.
Although CF is curable it is not completely curable. About half of diseased people live for 32 years. Diseased needs everyday demanding cure.
